Losacar 50 tab 50 mg once daily; may increase to 100 mg daily.
Patient w/ hepatic impairment 25 mg once daily.
Losacar 100 FC tab HTN Adult Individualized dosage. Usual starting dose: 50 mg once daily.
Patient w/ possible intravascular vol depletion & history of hepatic impairment 25 mg. Total daily dose: 25-100 mg once or bid.
Childn ≥6 yr Usual recommended starting dose: 0.7 mg/kg once daily (total: Up to 50 mg).
Patient w/ left ventricular hypertrophy Usual starting dose: 50 mg once daily & add hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg daily. Increase losartan to 100 mg once daily followed by an increase in hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg once daily.
Nephropathy in type 2 diabetic patient Usual starting dose: 50 mg once daily. Increased dose to 100 mg once daily.
